King Lee Technologies, partnering with our public and private sectors to provide pure and sustainable water to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.
King Lee Technologies created the membrane chemistry industry. Founded in 1977 by Craig Netwig, we have been working with system operators, OEMs, and consulting engineering firms for over 40 years. We have seen the industry grow from a scientific curiosity to main stream technology producing trillions of gallons of potable water every day.
As membrane technology evolved and grew, King Lee Technologies has stayed ahead of the trend by developing some of the most effective antiscalants, membrane cleaners and specialty products that have enabled clients to meet each year’s latest challenge of
increasing product recoveries, extending the time between cleaning cycles, and using more and more challenging feed water.
King Lee Technologies’ staff is always current with latest membrane technology innovations and we have treated thousands of brackish ground, surface and seawater chemistries in our decades of experience. Our uniquely specialized focus in reverse osmosis chemistry, coupled with having the most years of industry experience, truly sets us apart.
Products
King Lee’s powerful proprietary formulations of antiscalant & antifoulants sets us apart from the crowd. For over 40 years we have formulated the industry’s most effect pretreatment chemicals. They work to optimize, increase productivity, decrease cleaning frequencies and cut costs, all while taking on even the most challenging water applications.
Antiscalant & antifoulants work differently but all with the same goal, keeping your RO/NF membranes running at maximum productivity. Antifoulants work to prevent organic and biological material, colloids, silt, and other fine particulates from attaching themselves to the membrane. Antiscalant temporarily keeps sparingly soluble salts in solution so they do not stick to the membrane and form scale. There are many different types of scale and foulants which can hinder membrane performance. Depending on your water chemistry, you may need a broad spectrum antiscalant, a specifically targeted antifoulant or a product which provides protection for both.
You may be dealing with brackish ground and surface water, wastewater from reuse applications or seawater. We have the right product to meet your needs so you can keep the water flowing.

Classics: Tried and true broad spectrum line of antiscalant fully capable for the majority of water applications.
Targeted: Targeted line of antiscalant & antifoulants meant for particularly difficult and unique applications.
Synergy: Synergistic blends combine the ability to target specific scale and foulants while also having the comfort of broad spectrum control.
Pretreat Plus® 0100
The most widely used for all applications, this broad spectrum antiscalant is excellent in controlling calcium carbonate, silica, and iron.
Pretreat Plus® Y2K
Our most robust broad spectrum antiscalant having great scale control capacity and typically used at a lower dose.
Pretreat Plus® Select
A more cost effective broad spectrum antiscalant for use with RO systems treating water with less scaling potential.
Pretreat Plus® S1000
An antiscalant for feedwater with higher silica scaling potential combined with dispersant properties to inhibit colloidal fouling.
Pretreat Plus® G2000
A powerful synergistic antiscalant, specially formulated for feedwaters that need control for sulfate scales, carbonate scales, silica, and dissolved metals.
Pretreat Plus® G5000
A powerful synergistic antiscalant, specifically formulated for feedwaters that need targeted control of calcium sulfate (gypsum) scale in the presence of other scale-forming minerals.
Pretreat Plus® 0100 Concentrate
Pretreat Plus 0100 Concentrate is an 8x by volume or 6x by weight concentrated version of our most widely used broad spectrum antiscalant appropriate for all types of feed water. PTP 0100 Concentrate is designed for overseas shipments and large water treatment plants looking to reduce freight costs and chemical footprint.
Pretreat Plus® Gypsum Concentrate
A powerfully targeted antiscalant for hard to control calcium-sulfate / gypsum scale.
Pretreat Plus® 0100 Concentrate (Green)
A very powerful antiscalant for targeting calcium carbonate and has proven success in post RO/NF concentrate tanks and lines.
NuTreat™ 1700
A very powerful antiscalant for targeting calcium carbonate and has proven success in post RO/NF concentrate tanks and lines.
Protec™ RO
A highly effective antifoulant specially formulated to inhibit colloidal and organic fouling, including colloidal silica.
Protec™ RO C
A highly effective antifoulant and anticoagulant with broad capabilities for inhibiting silt, organics, colloids and fine particles from fouling the membrane.
King Lee Technologies started manufacturing specialty RO/NF membrane cleaners over 40 years ago. Since then, we have continued to develop effective membrane cleaners used in a wide variety of applications. These include groundwater, surface water, seawater and reuse applications.
Even with effective pretreatment, membranes will eventually begin to scale or foul. Depending on the degree and type of fouling, generic low and high pH cleaners may not fully clean off scale and foulants. Thus, residual residue could act as a hub attracting more scale and foulants resulting in a quicker fouling rates resulting in the need to clean more frequently. King Lee offers a variety of membrane cleaners to meet your specific needs. We offer our KL series powder cleaners for cost effectiveness and Diamite series liquid cleaners for ease of use.
Diamite™ LpH
Powerful and easy to handle low pH liquid cleaner for removing membrane scale and other inorganics.
Diamite™ HpH Plus
A stronger high pH cleaner for really difficult to remove organic material.
Diamite™ LpH Plus
A stronger low pH liquid cleaner for really difficult to remove membrane scale and other inorganics.
Diamite™ HpH
Powerful and easy to handle high pH liquid cleaner for removing organic material.

KLT manufactures specialty chemicals in addition to antiscalants and membrane cleaners. These RO/NF specific membrane compatible chemicals work to control bio growth. Microtreat™ BIO loosens bio growth on the membrane surface which can ultimately be removed with a high pH cleaner. Memstor™ is highly effective for short- and long-term membrane preservation with no significant loss in salt rejection upon startup.
We also provide a coagulant, Profloc™ C, which aids in the removal of larger particles by media filters and is compatible with many of our Pretreat Plus line of antiscalants. Our sanitization product, Microclean™ UHP removes free-floating biological organisms in ultra high purity water piping and DI water systems. It’s economical, highly effective and has shorter rinse-up times than similar products containing hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid such as Minncare. Check out Mitsubishi’s case study to see for yourself!
